The right lift interior should feel at home in its building. A quiet villa hall, a busy school corridor and a hospital circulation route need different finishes, lighting and practical details. Start with the people using the lift, then choose the visual character that suits the property.
Elevaya supplies, installs, refurbishes and maintains lifts across the UAE. Our business has operated since 2019, with more than 200 projects and a team of 12. This design collection helps homeowners and project teams compare modern silver, royal gold, bronze and practical public-building interiors before discussing their own building.
Which lift design suits my building?
Choose the design around the building's users, daily traffic, cleaning needs and surrounding architecture. A villa may suit warm bronze or champagne gold; a school or hospital often benefits from durable, easy-to-maintain surfaces and clear controls. Final equipment and finishes follow the technical design and site survey.
| Setting | Design direction | Check before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| Contemporary villa | Silver steel, pale stone and warm timber | Daylight, reflections and landing integration |
| Classic villa | Champagne gold and restrained decorative panels | Sample colour, lighting and cleaning method |
| Warm modern villa | Satin bronze with walnut tones | Tone consistency, fingerprints and replaceable panels |
| School | Robust steel and calm, clear contrast | Supervision, accessibility and daily wear |
| Hospital | Neutral finishes and protective rails | Actual bed/trolley movement and cleaning requirements |
| Museum or visitor building | Bronze and a quiet architectural palette | Visitor routes, legibility and service access |
Modern silver lift for a light-filled villa

Silver stainless steel works well when the hall already has natural stone, oak joinery or a visible staircase. Keep the door surround simple so the lift reads as part of the architecture. A warm cream cabin can soften the metal without adding several competing materials.
Check the view with the doors open and closed. A finish that looks calm in a sample book can reflect a bright window, making the cabin feel different during the day. Compare samples in the actual landing light and consider how the floor transition looks from both sides of the threshold.
For a home in Saadiyat Island, begin with the family's route through the villa and its privacy needs. Our Saadiyat villa lift guide explains these choices alongside installation and maintenance. For equipment options, explore home and villa lifts.
Royal gold without an overcrowded cabin

Champagne gold can bring warmth to a classic villa without turning every surface into a mirror. Use decorative panels selectively, with a quieter rear wall and balanced ceiling light. Ivory stone, fine mouldings and a simple handrail give the gold room to work.
Ask to see the proposed finish beside the actual flooring and door surround. Gold shades vary between materials and suppliers. Matching a small sample under showroom lighting is not enough to confirm how the full cabin will look in your home.
Palm Jumeirah and Emirates Hills homeowners can discuss the same design approach with our Dubai team. The choice belongs to the individual property rather than the community name. Our Palm Jumeirah modernization project is a separate record of completed work; use the luxury lift design guide to compare broader finish options.
Bronze and walnut for a warmer modern interior

Satin bronze suits a villa where the surrounding palette is warm plaster, timber and darker stone. Pair it with a limited amount of walnut rather than covering every wall in a different texture. Soft ceiling lighting helps reveal the metal's grain while keeping the control panel readable.
For an existing lift, changing the appearance is a refurbishment project with equipment constraints. The proposed panels, floor and ceiling must be checked for their weight, fixing method, clearances and access to service points. Decorative work should never conceal controls or interfere with the doors.
In Al Barsha, Jumeirah Park or another established villa community, compare the retained cabin condition with the desired finish before deciding what to replace. Start with cabin refurbishment and cladding. If the equipment also needs controls or other technical upgrades, discuss elevator modernization as a separate scope.
School lifts: clarity and daily durability

A school lift serves a different purpose from a private villa lift. Think about pupils, staff, visitors and people who need an accessible route, along with the school's supervision arrangements. The entrance should be easy to identify without a busy pattern competing with the controls.
Discuss durable wall finishes, cleaning, visibility of indicators and the way the landing connects to the corridor. Review the school's operating pattern with its facilities team. Do not choose the equipment capacity or door arrangement from an attractive image; those decisions need the actual building brief.
For new work, our installation service brings the lift package into the wider construction programme. For an operating school, coordinate proposed work, temporary access arrangements and handover with the responsible management team.
Hospital lifts: plan around movement and cleaning

Hospital lift planning starts with the journeys that the equipment must support. Patient transport, staff movement, visitors and service traffic can have different operational needs. A bed-lift brief should identify the actual bed and trolley sizes, turning movements, attendants and landing routes before equipment selection.
Neutral surfaces and protective rails can support a practical interior, but appearance alone does not establish hygienic suitability or clinical compliance. Agree cleaning-agent compatibility, protective detailing and access for maintenance with the hospital's responsible team and the equipment supplier.
A passenger elevator and a bed-lift application should not be treated as identical because they share a similar cabin finish. Record the intended use and applicable project requirements in the specification.
Museums, visitor buildings and park facilities

In a museum or visitor building, a bronze lift can complement a restrained stone interior without competing with exhibits. Follow the whole visitor journey: approach, waiting space, controls, entry and the route after leaving the car. People visiting for the first time need clear information and predictable movement.
Park facilities may include enclosed visitor centres or more exposed routes. A cabin designed for a sheltered interior is not automatically suitable outdoors. Review exposure, enclosure, drainage, temperature and maintenance access when the lift connects outdoor areas.
Dubai Municipality publishes the Dubai Universal Design Code. Abu Dhabi's DMT also publishes the Sahel accessibility framework. The responsible design team should identify the requirements applicable to the actual project; a design image cannot demonstrate compliance.
How do you turn a preferred style into an installation proposal?
Send photographs of your existing hall or lift, available drawings, the floors to be served and the finish direction you prefer. Tell us whether the building is new, occupied or being refurbished. Elevaya arranges the technical survey before issuing a quotation, then defines equipment, building interfaces, finishes and responsibilities.
Manufacturer design resources, such as KONE's published interior design guidance, also show how materials, lighting and accessories work together. Specific products and compatibility must be checked for the selected equipment; a reference does not imply manufacturer authorization.
We serve Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Use our UAE coverage pages to find the relevant local service route, then contact Elevaya to discuss supply, installation, refurbishment or maintenance. For an existing villa lift, annual maintenance contracts keep the aftercare conversation connected to the design decision.
